lympic Network finally will debut on cable television. lympic Committee and Comcast. It will debut as part of Comcast’s digital basic channel network but be available to other cable systems and broadcasters. USC members announcing the network today called it a logical evolution of broadcasting for sports that normally are only widely seen once every four years.

San Antonio-based NewTek released 3D Content Pack Volume 1: Sports a collection of what company officials call network-style ready-to-use customizable animated 3D scenes. NewTek 3D Content Pack offers broadcasters nearly 100 animated graphic templates that can be used during football baseball basketball soccer and hockey productions. NewTek designed the product to work in tandem with its LightWave 3D and 3D Arsenal products. Each sequence allows broadcasters to set up graphics for players and team logos program titles to introduce new segments and fast-paced bumper and transition animation to place an image or video.
