    The permanently unpredictable formula one wheeler-dealers wobbled from drama to crisis with Ferrari threatening to sue or leave over new regulations. F1 was then rocked by revelations that since 2004-05 there has been an under-the-table agreement in place for commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone to pay Ferrari £55 million more than is usual should it win the manufacturers’ championship. It’s all part of a deal to ensure the Italian glamour team stays in the sport. At the same time FIA president Max Mosley gave Ferrari a unique veto over any proposed changes to F1 technical regulations.
