com Tom Hicks’ sports holding company Hicks Sports Group which owns the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars officially went into default Monday on $525 million of loans. Hicks stopped making interest-only payments March 31 as he renegotiates the teams’ debt with about 40 lenders. The loan agreements mature in December 2010 and December 2011 according to lending data available on Bloomberg.
