    Octagon Research Finds US Sports Fans More Optimistic About …

    5 2008 NORWALK Conn. consumers by worldwide sports marketing firm Octagon offers cause for optimism for marketers looking to reach consumers less impacted by the economic downturn. When asked how the current economy personally affects them survey respondents who were sports fans were only half as likely as non-fans to report that the economy will “drastically” impact them. This was the case across the board regardless of whether respondents categorized themselves as sports viewers sporting event attendees or sports participants.

    Three Roosevelt alumni to join Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame

    com Aaron Wallace considers his induction tonight into the Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame a proud moment for the Dallas ISD. He’s one of nine athletes being honored and one of three Roosevelt football players in the Hall of Fame’s class of 2008. The others are Richmond Webb and former Cowboy Kevin Williams.
