    An athlete earns one point for remaining academicallyeligible each semester and another point each semester they remainat the school, accumulating a maximum of four points each year. Thescoring is altered slightly for schools on a quarters-basedcalendar. Over the past four years, the scores improved slightly in 26 ofthe 29 sports measured by the NCAA, with decreases shown only inmen’s ice hockey, men’s swimming and water polo.     Founded by former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki, the team was in its third season on
    the Formula One circuit. The Honda-powered Japanese outfit ran into financial
    troubles last year, and a planned buyout fell through last month. “With the help of Honda, we have somehow managed to keep the team going, but
    we find it difficult to establish a way to continue the activities in the
    future within the environment surrounding F1 and as a result, I have concluded
    to withdraw from the championship,” Suzuki said in a statement. With drivers Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato, the Super Aguri team had not
    registered a point through four races in this year’s series.

    Babatunde Lawrence Ayeni has warned that efforts geared towards resuscitating sports in the state will not yield positive results except if adequate attention was paid to the pathetic state of facilities.
