Today, whether we talk about transportation, communication, entertainment or infotainment, myriad horizons have been (and are being) discovered swiftly. About 10 years ago, I remember, we had very slender lane of entertainment. After finishing homework and college assignments, we used to play sports like cricket, hockey and football, etc. in any playground near our homes.

Being in our position, it has to cover every genre of music, because we’re like the only people in our playing field as a band. This is probably our most political, heavy-hitting, meat and potatoes hip-hop. TSB: Any of you guys big sports fans, being down here at the Final Four and you’re from Philadelphia so there’s plenty in the way of sports there?
?uestlove: After Villanova lost, my heart was out of it. TSB: So that’s the college hoops team for you with all that in Philadelphia?
?uestlove: I’ve got family in North Carolina, so I’m a passive-aggressive Tar Heel fan when forced to choose. (Quick note: ?uestlove wore a UNC shirt under his hooded sweatshirt during the set.

War Pass, winner of last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, was trying to redeem
himself after a last place finish in the Tampa Bay Derby. Tale of Ekati was
also attempting to get back into contention for the Kentucky Derby. Trained by Nick Zito, War Pass took the lead coming out of the gate and led
the field around the first turn and up the backstretch.

This year, UCLA, North Carolina, Memphis, and Kansas compete in San Antonio, Texas. The two semi-final games are on Saturday and the championship game is Monday night. As I sit in my hotel room here Friday night in San Antonio, I have one major question: Why can’t the games start tonight? I’m ready. I didn’t go to any of the four schools in the Final Four… We do it to take a break from thinking about work, personal problems, or the war. Sports have been criticized for being too commercial, too ready to coddle egomaniacal athletes, and too full of drugs. Amateur sports are seen as a sham in which the college or Olympic participant is not really an amateur. I can’t argue with any of these criticisms. Sports are all of these things. But they are something else, too. They are really fun to watch.
