The fourth-seeded Murray, who cruised over eighth-seeded Frenchman Paul-Henri
Mathieu in the semifinals, needed just under two hours to dispose of Ancic
6-3, 6-4. It was the fifth career ATP singles crown for Murray and his second title in
2008. Murray also captured the title in Doha last month. In three events this year, Murray has just one loss — a first-round setback
to eventual runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Australian Open.

Edwards, above, toils for Roush Racing, which led the sport earlier this decade with consecutive titles by Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch. Roush was slow to adjust to the Car of Tomorrow last year, but it gained ground in the second half of the season. The team should have two or three drivers in the hunt in 2008, including Kenseth and Greg Biffle.
