Reilly leaves Sports Illustrated to join ESPN – ESPN

– Rick Reilly is joining ESPN to write a back-page column for ESPN The Magazine write for ESPN. com and contribute essays to ESPN television coverage. Reilly who wrote for Sports Illustrated for 22 years will join ESPN on June 1 2008. Reilly will write bi-weekly for ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.
Lake a two-sport same-season standout for Dux

Last Friday Trevor Lake scored two touchdowns and helped lead the Zeeland West football team to a win and a 9-0 regular season record. Earlier in the day while his teammates were in class Lake was with other teammates — the Dux tennis team — playing first singles at the state finals in Kalamazoo losing a hard-fought match to a player from Spring Lake at first singles. All in a day’s work for the senior who was one of the busier high school athletes in the area this fall. Lake made the decision to become a dual-sport athlete when the MHSAA lawsuit resulted in boys tennis being moved to the fall.
