Rogge also said in Monday’s edition of the French newspaper LeMonde that the IOC was waiting for track and field’s governing bodyto rule on Jones’ results from the 2000 Sydney Olympics beforedeciding how to reallocate the medals. Jones won golds in the 100and 200 meters and 1600-meter relay and bronze in the long jumpand 400-meter relay. She pleaded guilty this month to lying to federal investigatorsin 2003 when she denied using banned drugs. She returned the fivemedals from the Sydney Games.

Brian Rolston and Mark Parrish scored second-period goals and Josh Harding stopped all 37 shots he faced as the Wild beat the Ducks 2-0 before a crowd of 17174 at Honda Center. The Wild is now 5-0 and the only unbeaten team remaining in the NHL. It has given up just four goals in its first five games.

The list for live coverage includes: the Olympic Games the FIFA World Cup The Grand National The Derby Wimbledon tennis the European football championships and the Rugby World Cup final. Under EU law the ‘television without frontiers directive’ lays down framework conditions in which the public may be guaranteed free access to the broadcasts of events of major importance to society. Each member state in the 27 member state bloc is entitled to draw up a list of such events which must then be broadcast unencrypted even if exclusive rights have been bought by pay-television stations. The list drawn up by the UK government was first published under EU law on Nov 18 2000.
