Four more drivers are on the verge of clinching – 2006 Nextel Cup champion Jimmie Johnson Jeff Burton Kyle Busch and Clint Bowyer.

– Clemson swimmer Amy Marie Moxie collapsed while jogging Tuesday afternoon and died at the hospital. Moxie 18 of Simpsonville was running on campus when she collapsed according to a release issued by the university. She was a freshman who had just completed her first week on campus and was on the Tigers roster as a middle-distance swimmer the school said. “Amy was so eager to come to Clemson and was looking forward to the start of practice. That is what she was doing today jogging on her own in preparation for the beginning of practice” swimming and diving coach Christopher Ip said.

Pachuca eye $1 million prizeCarson CA (Sports Network) – Los Angeles can erase a dismal year in Major League Soccer in Wednesday’s $1 million SuperLiga final but David Beckham won’t be its savior. Beckham will miss the game against Mexico’s Pachuca in the inaugural event featuring teams from MLS and Mexico because of a lingering ankle injury. Beckham isn’t the only player L. will miss Wednesday with Kelly Gray Ty Harden Ante Jazic and Chris Albright also ruled out with injuries.

Peter Crouch and Sami Hyypia also scored for Liverpool which won the series by 5-0 aggregate. The English club dominated Toulouse on Tuesday taking the lead in the 19th minute on Crouch’s beautiful finish. He raced onto a cross at the left post and with a defender on his hip lunged to tuck the ball inside the bar. Although Liverpool controlled most of the possession it didn’t increase its cushion until early in the second half when Hyypia struck in the 49th minute.
