But it wasn’t like previous years’ announcements of a “Halo 3″ release date or support from “Grand Theft Auto IV. It’s that he’s leaving his job for one that sounds well smaller. Electronic Arts and Microsoft announced on Tuesday (July 17) that Moore is leaving his role as corporate vice president of Interactive Entertainment Business Entertainment and Devices Division where he runs all things Xbox 360 and Windows. Come September 1 he’ll take over EA Sports.

    Big Ten Network lands FOX Sports’ BCS announcer team

    The announcement was made today by Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman and Executive Producer Leon Schweir. Brennaman and Davis will be joined by five other professionals who will complete the BTN studio team and comprise the network’s game-day announce teams. The deep talented roster includes former Indiana University football coach and ESPN analyst Gerry DiNardo; retired Denver Bronco and former University of Illinois fullback Howard Griffith; former University of Minnesota football coach Glen Mason; award-winning play-by-play announcer Wayne Larrivee; and former Northwestern University and Chicago Bear defensive back Chris Martin. DiNardo and Griffith serving as analysts will join Dave Revsine the network’s lead studio host for coverage from BTN headquarters in downtown Chicago while Larrivee and Martin will comprise a second on-air team.

    html MOTOR SPORTSGinn’s Nemechek Marlin replacedGinn Racing replaced Sterling Marlin in its No. 14 Chevrolet with 23-year-old rookie Regan Smith and released veteran Joe Nemechek driver of the No. Jaye Frye Ginn Racing’s CEO and general manager also said that Aric Almirola another 23-year-old signed and will become Mark Martin’s co-driver in the No. 01 Chevrolet for the remainder of this season. Almirola will also share the ride with Martin in 2008.
