Bryant was on two radio shows talking about how he wants Jerry West back and how he wants the team to become an elite team. Bryant said he only recently learned about the Lakers having a "long-term" rebuilding plan saying he had been informed by Lakers owner Jerry Buss and general manager Mitch Kupchak when he re-signed in 2004 that they would put together a quality team immediately.
