He’s Not a Good Sport
Houston Chronicle – May 29, 2007
I grew up in a family where sports were at the very core of our day to day life. My brother played football at a Big Ten School and went on to become athletic director of a large high school in the Midwest. I have been around many guys one of whom I dated for a number of years who played professional football. ver the years it saddens me to see the degradation of what sports and athletes stand for. Athletes used to be held in high esteem as examples of sportmanship fair play teamwork the all-American dream of achieving something that you’ve worked your butt off for and appreciating the opportunity to be a role model to kids. That is why I find the latest discovery involving Michael Vick’s involvement with dogfighting despicable. For those of you who are unaware Michael Vick is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and plays for the Atlanta Falcons.
