Her rise to executive associate director of athletics is an interesting journey that includes stops in Maine Texas and Virginia. She was working at Cal State Northridge when she was hired in November of last year. Lucas also the department's senior women administrator will have a significant role in the development of UCR's athletic program and continued growth at the Division I level. Part of her administrative duties include Athletics Progress Rate issues and supervising several sports including volleyball soccer and softball.

- After learning that outfielder Jason Repko likely would be lost for the season the Dodgers acquired a replacement outfielder Brady Clark from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for pitcher Elmer Dessens and cash considerations Monday. 263 with four home runs and 29 RBI in 2006. His best season came the previous year when he hit. 306 as an everyday center fielder.
