Evernham Motorsports had three crew chiefs suspended and each driver penalized points while owner Ray Evernham was also fined points. 9 car of Kasey Kahne was the hardest hit. Kahne was penalized 50 points and crew chief Kenny Francis suspended four races after it was discovered the team had illegal holes in the wheel well which could have improved aerodynamics.

She never thought one night she would be standing in front of 300 to 400 people telling them how much it means to her to be named the Rhode Island schoolgirl athlete of the year. She never dreamed college coaches from all over the country would be asking her to visit their campus before she decided which college she wanted to attend. She certainly never expected to see her picture in Sports Illustrated. “I never expected any of this” said Julie Ruggieri the Barrington High senior and three-sport star. Maybe that’s why Ruggieri’s high school athletic career has been so special.

I lived in Pontypridd as a child and my first memories are of playing school rugby. As for golf I remember practising in the snow at Pontypridd Golf Club and telling one of my mates I’d like to be the club champion one day. As kids you don’t notice weather conditions. Sports watched: Rugby league is my favourite sport.
