Davis Cup triumphstrava Czech Republic (Sports Network) – Andy Roddick posted a four-set win over Tomas Berdych to give the United States a first-round Davis Cup victory over the Czech Republic. Roddick rallied from a set down to earn a 4-6 6-3 6-2 7-6 (7-4) triumph giving the Americans an insurmountable 3-1 lead in the best-of-five tie. Doubles specialist Bob Bryan then captured the dead rubber against Lukas Dlouhy 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 to put the finishing touches on the 4-1 conquest. Next up for the U.

Instead of sulking he found a solution. And while his 5-shot victory Sunday in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am was hardly a case of redemption it at least changed the conversation about him from the past to his potential.
