ESPN – Jan 27, 2007
– The trial of at least one of the two former Montana State athletes accused of killing a suspected drug dealer will be delayed until 2008. The trial of Branden Miller a former MSU basketball player was moved from July to January 2008 on Friday by District Judge Mike Salvagni. The trial of John Lebrum a former football player scheduled for ctober likely will be delayed as well because attorneys on both sides have agreed that Miller will be tried first. The Montana Crime Lab still hasn’t finished testing all of the forensic evidence in the case including DNA fingerprints and footprints Salvagni said. Attorneys can’t prepare to prosecute or defend a case without all of the evidence Salvagni said.
