The IC has already set a maximum of 28 sports and a minimum of25. The Beijing 2008 Games will be the last to feature 28 sports asbaseball and softball were removed from the 2012 London Gamesprogramme last year. For the 2016 Games the IC will have a core of 26 sports withthe possibility of introducing two more. But for the 2020 Games it has decided to bring down the numberto 25 giving the opportunity to a maximum of three sports to bepotentially voted in.

Ronaldinho who already earned the 2005-06 FIFPro Player of the Year has a very good chance of winning the award for the third straight year. The Brazilian put together a great season for Barcelona last year helping the team to the La Liga title as well as the UEFA Champions League crown. The only thing working against him is his performance in the World Cup in Germany which was average for Brazilian standards.
