In an outdated wood-paneled kitchen from the Roseanne television show collection there is a tattooed man wearing a muscle T-shirt that has Dale Earnhardt Sr. s face airbrushed on it. With a small boy beside him the man has his eyes fixed on a TV sitting atop the fridge.

In addition there’s a 5000-seat field house featuring six basketball courts a fitness center and training rooms; major-league practice fields and pitching mounds; 4 softball fields; 12 tennis courts including a 2000-seat stadium center court; a track-and-field complex; a golf driving range; and more. The newest addition the Hess Sports Fields includes baseball soccer lacrosse and football fields.

Verizon which brought in a portable call relayer or “cell on wheels” had a 60 percent increase in the traffic it typically handles in the area on non-game days spokesman Don Carretta said Monday. He was not aware of any customer complaints and the number of calls was not unusual for a game concert or other large-scale public event he said. “Any event where you have a large volume of people in a small area you have problems” Carretta said.
