12:35 AM PDT on Wednesday September 20 2006The Associated Press SAN DIEG – The world didn’t end after all for the Padres who found themselves back in first place in the NL West. Trevor Hoffman earned his 476th career save Mike Cameron hit a three-run homer and the Padres rebounded from their crazy loss the night before in Los Angeles to beat Arizona 5-2 Tuesday night. Adrian Gonzalez also connected for the Padres who moved a half-game ahead of the Dodgers in the division. Hoffman who gave up two of the four consecutive home runs by the Dodgers in the ninth inning Monday bounced back by throwing a perfect ninth against Arizona.
