I shared a row with three Red Sox fans who were on their way to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees and Red Sox go after each other again in a four-game series. When we landed in miserable weather a Yankees fan turned around and asked the Boston fans what possessed them to leave sunny Florida to watch a series that meant absolutely nothing. The fans had made plans in the spring thinking this would be a magical baseball weekend.
