NDSU and SDSU which have finished their third year in a five-year reclassification from NCAA Division II to Division I are independents. Both schools have been turned away from attempts to join the Big Sky Conference. “ur presidents council met and voted unanimously to invite NDSU into our conference. I’m pleased to announce they’ve accepted” Mid-Continent commissioner Tom Douple said Thursday.
